SOUTH Perth’s modern Mediterranean restaurant Incontro was honoured with the National Restaurant Award at the 8th National Seafood Industry Awards.

Held in Perth following the Seafood Directions 2015 conference, the awards celebrated the best in the national seafood industry.

West Australian entities won four categories of awards, with two fishing identities being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Fisheries Minister Ken Baston said the seafood stars in WA worked to deliver highquality and innovative seafood ideas and the State had a bright future in creating a sustainable world-class seafood industry.

“Incontro in South Perth was the stand out restaurant in the State Seafood Industry awards earlier this year and it has now beaten popular eateries in the Northern Territory and Tasmania to clinch the National Restaurant Award,” Mr Baston said.
