Our report on the DA6 vision plan in Redcliffe garnered some online comment.
In 34 hectares... a train station, 38 buses at peak hour (morning 38, afternoon 38). 315 dwellings now, 3500 plus by 2030. Now two entrances off Great Eastern Highway; 2016, one entrance off GEH (Brearley Ave closed). MRWA not upgrading Coolgardie Ave (right turn pockets at traffic lights) until 2020,no funding. Safety of residents disregarded by State Government and City of Belmont. No “proper” traffic modeling done in this area...” urban village” surrounding train station. There is more. More wrong with DA6 vision than there is right.
