Bransby to saddle up as new chief

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - Business -

ROB Bransby will be Perth Racing’s new chief executive.

The health and insurance business executive will start next year and said horses had always played a special part in his life.

Mr Bransby is a thoroughbred breeder and is the son of local trainer, the late Bob Bransby, who managed Patrol Zone to victory at Ascot for the Aquanita Stakes in 1982.

He said the role would truly be a labour of love for him.

“I am thrilled to be joining Perth Racing at a pivotal point in their history and excited at the possibilities,” he said.

Perth Racing chairman Neil Pinner said Mr Bransby was the most suitable person to principally manage the next stage of Perth Racing’s development and propel the five-year masterplan.

“The club is going through exciting times and Bransby’s knowledge and expertise in financial and asset management will be of great benefit to all areas of the business,” he said.

“His affection for thoroughbred racing and interest in lifting the business profile to corporate and tourism sectors will position the Perth Racing brand in good stead.”

Rob Bransby.
