Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - Opinion -

IN his letter published in the Gazette’s October 27 edition, Cr Robert Rossi who appeared to be boasting about his narrow election victory in the recent West Ward City of Belmont council election.

Clearly, the result is no ringing endorsement for Cr Rossi who has been the incumbent councillor for 12 years and the deputy mayor.

The fact that he has failed to hear the message for change at the city council is astonishing considering the margin in votes was 1108 to 1035.

The result shows that if a further 37 people had changed their vote then the outcome would have been different and Cr Rossi not elected. GEORGE SEKULLA, Belmont.
