PERTH Cricket Club dom­i­nated their lo­cal derby against South Perth with first in­nings points earned on day one at Richard­son Park in Premier Cricket on Satur­day.

The high-fly­ing Demons will chase out­right points next round af­ter out­play­ing the Sky Blues on the first day of their two-day Round Six clash.

South Perth were bowled out for 122 with Perth at 1-156 in re­ply with in­form Jonathan Wells (63*) and debu­tant Tom Casey (65*) at the crease.

It’s a dream de­but for Casey, who forced his way into the Perth First Grade side af­ter three fifties and a cen­tury in the past four games in Sec­ond Grade.

Ear­lier, Ryan Duffield claimed 423, with Michael Grzinic (2-38) and Liam Guthrie (2-38) in strong sup­port.

WA Un­der-19’s cap­tain Brooke Guest pro­vided the only re­sis­tance with 37 as South Perth lost cap­tain Hugh Brown (golden duck) and the in­form Trent Ovens (10) cheaply.

Nathan Keoh (24) and Antony Radunovich (21) tried to halt the demise but upon their de­par­tures, South Perth lost 4-0.
