1 VICTORIA PARK ABOUT 10pm on Sunday, November 15, police saw a grey Corolla being driven erratically in Victoria Park. Before the car could be stopped, it crashed into another vehicle in Berwick Street and five people fled. An adult male and two juveniles were caught. One juvenile was taken to PMH for medical attention for minor injuries. The Corolla was stolen from a Victoria Park shopping centre on November 3 and is known to have been involved in a number of incidents. Stolen property was found inside the car. The driver is expected to face charges including reckless driving, no driver’s licence, stealing of a motor vehicle, failing to stop and more. A 19-year-old Bassendean man and a 17-year-old St James boy were charged while a 15-year-old girl is assisting with inquiries.
2 EAST VICTORIA PARK A WITNESS spotted two men in the back yard of a home in East Victoria Park last Wednesday night. The witness knew the owners of the house and took photographs of the intruders as they left the property. The intruders both left with items belonging to the owners of the house. Kensington Detectives were called to the scene and conducted a search before finding one man on the street. He attempted to avoid officers but was caught after a short chase. The second man tried to flee on a bike but fell off and tried to run through the library before he was caught. It was alleged both men, aged 24 and 18, were caught in possession of stolen property. Both were charged with aggravated burglary and stealing and nei- ther man was granted bail.
3 KENSINGTON ABOUT 2.30pm on November 10, a black four-wheel drive with no licence plates was reported to be parked at a property under construction. Kensington Detectives, Kensington local police team and the re- sponse team north attended the scene and found a woman putting property into the 4WD. The property had been broken in to the previous night. The woman tried to explain what she was doing but when police refused to believe her, she fled before being caught by officers. The 38-year-old woman from Carlisle will appear in Perth Magistrates Court on a date to be set on charges of burglary and stealing. She was released on bail with reporting requirements and curfew conditions.
