Town to reduce on-street parking fees

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - News -

THE Town of Victoria Park will reduce on-street parking fees in Burswood and Raphael Park in response to community feedback during a scheduled review of its award-winning parking management plan.

From December 1, costs for on-street parking in the two areas will be halved to $1 an hour or $5 a day.

G.O. Edward and Hawthorne Place carparks will also have $1 an hour parking and all-day parking at $5 with the first hour free with a ticket.

The changes follow a reduction in the cost of parking around Oats Street Station in September this year.

“Just as we did in September, we are continually reviewing the parking management plan to ensure we are hitting the objectives,” Mayor Trevor Vaughn said.

The plan aims to ensure fair access to limited parking spaces in the Town.
