Price of chip­ping drops for event

WITH new State laws com­ing into ac­tion last month, all dogs and cats must now be mi­crochipped and reg­is­tered or pet own­ers risk a fine of up to $5000.

The City of South Perth and Town of Vic­to­ria Park will be host­ing a mi­crochip­ping day at the An­i­mal Care Fa­cil­ity in Como this Satur­day.

Gen­er­ally cost­ing up­wards of $60, an­i­mals can be mi­crochipped for the re­duced price of $35, with no book­ing re­quired.

The event will also have goodie bags to sat­isfy pet own­ers and their furry friends.

Mi­crochip­ping will also be avail­able for rab­bits, birds and other mam­mals.
