Summer street party draws thousands

AN incredible 45,000 people attended the Town of Victoria Park’s inaugural Vic Park Summer Street Party last month.

With three entertainment stages, pop-up bars and food stalls, festival-goers were treated to an array of live music, delicious food and good times.

But it was the hijacking of Balmoral Hotel’s first floor that caught the most attention.

With four giant inflatable waving tentacle arms pouring from the building, it was an astonishing public art spectacle by UK artist Filthy Luker that stole the show.
