Students clean up foreshore

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - Opinion -

YEAR 4 students at Wesley College recently spent time cleaning up the riverfront to help preserve marine life.

After learning the importance of sustainability, the students’ eyes were opened to the devastating effects that plastic can have on marine life, oceans and waterways.

The students created a petition asking for plastic recycling bins at the school and submitted it to their teachers.

They then cleaned up plastic from the foreshore south of the school.

The students also hope to educate people to not dump plastic into the environment.
