CHRISTMAS cheer with a wild twist was brought to more than 700 children at the annual Variety Kids Christmas Party this year.

Children spent the afternoon enjoying all Perth Zoo had to offer, while embracing the festive spirit.

Variety WA CEO Michael Pailthorpe said the event was a chance for families to relax and enjoy the Christmas joy.

“The event is a welcome respite for families caring for children with special needs, serious illness or who have endured disadvantage,” Mr Pailthorpe said.

“It’s one of the highlights of the Variety year.”

Guests had a full day to ex- plore the zoo and enjoy bouncy castles, face painting, entertainment and party food.

Special VIP Santa Claus was in attendance to bring the festive message closer to home for every youngster.

Each child had the chance to divulge their Christmas wish list and receive a present from the man in red.

Nader Gerami enjoys the entertainment up close.
