Players on drive for light towers

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - Sport -

PERTH Junior Cricket Club hopes to install new light towers, with the project partly paid for by their fundraising ventures.

The junior athletes took part in a fundraising drive and sold tickets in this year’s Good for Cricket Raffle.

“Obviously the lights are a big expense and the Town of Victoria Park will also contribute, but it would mean so much to all the junior cricket members,” club treasurer Allan McDougall said.

The club is still calling on all cricket fans, friends and neighbours to buy a ticket to support the local cricketers. One lucky supporter with the winning ticket will drive away with a new Toyota Camry.

Perth Junior Cricket Club under-15 players visit New Town Toyota in Welshpool to take on dealer principal Joe Zito and his colleagues to a cricket game.
