ONE of the state’s most iconic entertainment centres will celebrate its 30th anniversary this month.

Crown Perth opened in 1985 as WA’s only premier integrated resort and quickly became an international landmark.

The complex started with just 12 chefs, nine restaurants and bars and 405 hotel rooms. Now 30 years on, Crown has 300 chefs, 32 restaurants and bars, a 2300-seat theatre, convention and gaming facilities and just under 1200 guest rooms at three luxury hotels when Crown Towers opens this year.

Crown Resorts Australia chief executive Barry Felstead said Crown Perth looked forward to celebrating 30 years with members old and new.

“Crown Perth has come a long way since welcoming our first guests on December 30, 1985, and we take great pleasure in providing a world-class service to more than nine million visitors each year,” he said.

“We can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with a whole month of festivities.”

Some of Australia’s biggest music acts, including Thirsty Merc, Reece Mastin, Daryl Braithwaite and Shannon Noll, will appear at Crown Perth throughout January as part of the month-long celebration.
