Busi­nesses must ap­ply for switch to NBN

MORE than 2460 homes and busi­nesses in ar­eas of Kens­ing­ton will soon com­plete the tran­si­tion to Aus­tralia’s Broad­band Net­work.

The NBN is urg­ing res­i­dents and busi­nesses who have not placed an or­der for ser­vices to con­tact their pre­ferred in­ter­net provider be­fore the dis­con­nec­tion date.

Sig­nif­i­cant con­struc­tion has pro­gressed in Kens­ing­ton, South Perth and Vic­to­ria Park.

NBN spokes­woman Philippa Perry said it was vi­tal peo­ple un­der­stood the switch was not au­to­matic.

“We are par­tic­u­larly urg­ing peo­ple with spe­cial equip­ment... to con­tact their provider im­me­di­ately,” she said. More in­for­ma­tion at nbnco.com.au.
