BACK in the days be­fore the Metropoli­tan Trans­port Trust, pre­ced­ing the Pub­lic Trans­port Au­thor­ity, the south side of St Ge­orges Ter­race was a blaze of colour with ranks full of the brightly painted buses in liv­er­ies of the var­i­ous pri­vate bus com­pa­nies.
