THE tortoise stolen from Perth Zoo was recovered by officers from the Central Metropolitan District Control Centre. The tortoise was purchased by a member of the public who was unaware
of the black market value or rarity of the animal. When he realised he might have the stolen tortoise, he took it to Perth police station. The tortoise was was checked by a Murdoch University Veterinarian before being returned to Perth Zoo.
A PARKING meter in South Perth was ripped from the ground (above) and stolen from Richardson Reserve last week. It was stolen about 5am on Thursday, February 4. City of South Perth said the meter had about $22 in it. Contact Kensington Police station with any information.
