TARGET TENANTS

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - OPINION -

THERE is "community housing" and "community housing".

Behind my home in Redcliffe lives a mum and three children. Her front yard is far tidier and cleaner than many private home yards. Her back yard is lush and green.

We have seen her children growing up and they are beautiful, respectful children.

In the same street is another home that I saw empty for months as it was being repaired from a previous tenant.

It was done up and much money would have been spent on it.

It is now back to a disgusting mess. Every now and again, a bin is there and a clean-up held but the tidiness does not last long.

I would hate to live over the road.

Therefore, good and bad in community housing; it depends on the tenants, so do not bad mouth the housing.

Homeswest should do something about the tenants. Name and address supplied. postmarked January 31 on the envelope. It did not arrive until February 16.

I send an airmail letter to the UK every Sunday. It arrives in Manchester on the following Saturday.

I cannot believe post in Australia for Australian people since January. I cannot see it getting any better. M.V. FRANCE, Edgewater.
