Big businesses join in big Clean Up Day
A NUMBER of local community groups and businesses have joined forces to get behind Clean Up Australia Day this Friday.
Crown Perth, the Burswood Park Board, the Clontarf Foundation and the Town of Victoria Park have made up the small army of volunteers set to put on some gloves to clean up the Burswood Park Foreshore.
The initiative is part of the Crown Conservation program that runs activities throughout the year to reduce environmental impact, with a focus on things like water conservation.
Over the past 25 years, Australians have devoted more than 27.2 million hours to Clean Up Australia Day and collected over 288,650 tonnes of rubbish.
The official Clean Up Australia Day is this Sunday.
