Chinese heritage celebrated
HISTORY will come alive at the exhibition A Park For All Reasons at Sir James Mitchell Park. Presented by the South Perth Historical Society, the display will focus on activities of the park from its inception to present day. The exhibition will pay special tribute to the Chinese Market Gardens that occupied the South Perth foreshore from 1890 to 1950. Early maps, photographic images, news and information posters will be on display. The exhibition runs until March 19 at the Gallery and Cultural Centre at 111 Mill Point Road from 10am-4pm. Entry by gold coin donation.
