ON February 26 officers from the regional operations group, Perth police station and canine unit attended the underground train station for a passive alert drug detection dog operation. Within the first hour it was alleged several people were located in possession of prohibited drugs and were charged. It was alleged that one 17-year-old male from Carlisle was found in possession of one MDMA tablet, commonly known as ecstasy. A further 81 tablets were found in his bum bag and he was charged with possession of a prohibited drug with the intent to sell or supply. It was also alleged a 17-year-old from Manning was found in possession of a clip seal bag containing 29 ecstasy tablets. He was charged with possession of a prohibited drug with intent to sell and two counts of possession of a prohibited drug for amphetamine and cannabis.
