Hotel spreads wings

RENOVATIONS to the Metro Hotel Perth were officially welcomed by the City of South Perth mayor last month. Mayor Sue Doherty cut the ribbon to the new 53-room Aspire Wing among guests of corporate clients, industry professionals and media at the ceremony on February 23. Metro Hospitality Group managing director Peter Frawley said the completion of the new Aspire Wing and hotel renovations marked a new beginning for the local hotel. “Since the hotel was first built in the 1970s, Metro Hotel Perth has acquired iconic status with residents and visitors,” he said. “It enjoys a prime vantage point on the south side of Perth, and is now a well-known landmark on Perth’s skyline.” The wing opened on February 17.
