Group makes clean sweep of foreshore

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - NEWS -

LOCAL groups banded together this month to help keep their little piece of Australia clean.

The Town of Victoria Park, Crown Perth, the Clontarf Foundation and the Burswood Park Board made up the small army of volunteers who got involved in Clean Up Australia Day.

The group went to the Burswood Park foreshore and set to work with gloves and rubbish bags.

The initiative was part of the Crown Conservation program that runs throughout the year to reduce environmental impact.

Australians have collectively dedicated over 27.2 million hours to Clean Up Australia Day over the past 25 years.
