Stairs in their eyes

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - NEWS -

CARLISLE resident Tim Prosser is reprising a role he first played seven years ago as Stairway to Heaven hits Rigby’s Bar and Bistro this month.

Stairway to Heaven is set at the Pearly Gates as Robbie tries to find out why he is in limbo and what’s to come of him.

Prosser plays Gabe, an angel who checks new arrivals in to heaven.

“Dressed in his immaculate white suit, he is superciliously prim and proper,” Prosser said.

“But he does tend to occasionally embarrass himself by forgetting his dignified deportment, revealing both a devilish sense of humour and an otherwise suppressed wild side to his character.

“Having played the role before, I know it backwards and forwards, so there are no great challenges this time.”

With a 27-year background in theatre, Prosser has worked as a scenic artist and actor after several years spent as a narrator for audio books for the visually impaired.

David Johnson, Tim Prosser and Willy Smeets meet at the Pearly Gates in StairwaytoHeaven at Rigby’s Bar this month.
