A feast of fundraising

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - NEWS -

THIS year a Burswood business owner will support a Breast Cancer Care WA charity event for the 11th year in a row.

BBC Entertainment director Beth Ormsby has again provided the entertainment for the charity’s signature fundraising event Long Table Lunch.

“Every year I have numerous acts asking to play at the Long Table Lunch,” Ms Ormsby said.

“The Amplifiers were a real hit last year and jumped at the opportunity to return in 2016.”

Ms Ormsby said the charity was inspired by her friendship with founder Ros Worthington.

“I’ve been friends with Ros for years and have supported the event throughout our whole friendship,” she said.

“It’s amazing how far the concept has come, while still honouring its original values and celebrating the strength and resilience of women affected by breast cancer.”

The Long Table Lunch raises funds for emotional, practical and financial support for people with breast cancer.

The event is on April 3 and Breast Cancer Care WA aims to raise $300,000.
