Elderly need help to walk their dogs

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - NEWS -

A NOT-FOR-PROFIT charity organisation is calling on dog lovers to donate their time to a good cause.

Pets of Older Persons (POOPs) helps residents over 65 who are unable to walk their own dogs because of health reasons.

As age and disability prevents many people from being able to fully care for their pets, POOPs steps in and offers a free dog-walking service.

“We are calling for volunteers to join POOPs and help us walk these lovely dogs, particularly in Como and surrounding areas and Belmont and Kewdale,” POOPs southern suburbs co-ordinator Beth Wright said.

Currently the organisation has clients in a range of areas that need assistance.
