Duo redressing balance in teacher training

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - OPINION -

TWO residents are working to bridge the gap in teacher training in Perth.

Penrhos College teachers Natalie Nicholls and Katrina Pollock launched their own company Impact PD Events to bring more speakers and pro- fessional trainers to WA.

“I have taught in Perth, Melbourne and London, and there seems to be a huge gap in the premium market for teacher training in WA,” Ms Nicholls said.

“The two largest private PD companies are based on the east coast and it seems WA teachers haven’t always been offered the same access to international and Australian speakers.
