Noll to head­line in­au­gu­ral event

AUSSIE cult hero Shan­non Noll will bring his much-loved pop an­thems with him when he head­lines an in­au­gu­ral mu­sic festival in Vic­to­ria Park.

Cat­a­pulted back into the spot­light with the help of so­cial me­dia, the 2003 Aus­tralian Idol run­ner up will play at Ship-Wrecked! Mu­sic Festival at Mc­Cal­lum Park on April 9.

“The fact that this is the first ever Ship-Wrecked! makes it that much more ex­cit­ing,” Noll said.

“The re­cent sup­port I’ve re­ceived from the Aus­tralian pub­lic has been amaz­ing, so I re­ally want to thank ev­ery­one by putting on a great show.”

Festival go­ers can en­joy their favourite iconic Noll clas­sics in­clud- ing What About Me, Shine and Drive.

Ship-Wrecked! manag­ing di­rec­tor Daniel Bruce se­cured Noll for the festival af­ter iden­ti­fy­ing a strong push on so­cial me­dia for Noll’s ca­reer to be reignited.

“Shan­non Noll promised to raise the roof of the in­au­gu­ral Ship­Wrecked! Mu­sic Festival,” Mr Bruce said.

“His en­ergy, great Aussie spirit and iconic fol­low­ing will en­sure the festival will de­liver the mu­sic ex­pe­ri­ence to pun­ters.”

The festival will also fea­ture Mel­bourne in­die rock band Kingswood, Perth duo Mos­quito Coast and hip hop artists Thun­da­men­tals, Holy Holy and Abbe May.
