Arts Season fun for all

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - NEWS -

FROM buskers to artists, comedic beer-tasting and fashion displays, the Town of Victoria Park’s first Arts Season has something for all.

The new Arts Season, which replaces the annual Art Awards, caters to a wider, more diverse audience by featuring local and regional arts in many forms.

Mayor Trevor Vaughan said the Town was focused on collaborating with individuals, organisations and groups to deliver events and initiatives that would cater to all ages.

“The new Arts Season is an example of how the Town, and in particular the Burswood Peninsula and Swan River foreshore, are becoming an entertainment hotspot with an abundance of world-class events, festivals, shows, sporting activities and lots of opportunity for further growth,” he said.

“Our community has always been very interested in art, supporting a wide variety of projects and events throughout the year, and the new Arts Season will not only emphasise our interest, but also showcase, promote and attract many forms of art in the Town.”

The season will run through April and May.
