TWO community sporting clubs have joined forces to maximise playing space for members.
Victoria Park Carlisle Bowling Club and the Area 5 Soccer Club formed an arrangement that will have the soccer club using the bowling greens for five-a-side matches.
The soccer competition will involve people of all ages and both genders and is expected to launch in late June.
Bowling Club president Meryl Bolton said she was excited about the project and the prospect of having the two clubs involved and interacting. MANNING Tennis Club is gearing up to celebrate its Diamond Jubilee anniversary this month.
The event will be held on April 30 with an open door policy to both members and the public.
The club is also celebrating the completion of the recent clubhouse renovations.
City of South Perth Mayor Sue Doherty will present a commemorative plaque to the club. The Diamond Jubilee festivities will include a coaching clinic, doubles tennis tournament, high tea, silent auction and more.
