DANCERS KNOCK ON EUROPE’S DOOR

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - BUSINESS -

AFTER a successful European audition tour, four WA ballet students are primed to return overseas and take the next step in their dancing careers.

The graduating students from the Burswood-based Charlesworth Ballet Institute arrived back in Perth from an audition tour last month.

Jaimie Ford (19), Aiden Foster (18), Lauren Perrett (18) and Eleisse Crouch (19) were all offered places at highly coveted European dancing institutions.

Charlesworth Ballet Institute spokeswoman Lynley Fudger said the audition tour had been a great success.

“All four have been successful and have received offers from several institutions,” Ms Fudger said.

“They are very excited to be embarking on the next stage of their dancing careers.”

As part of the audition tour, the students spent three-and-ahalf weeks travelling between schools in Amsterdam, London, Munich, Basel, Zurich and more.

“They’ll be training hard at the ballet school until late August when they will take their places in Europe,” Ms Fudger said.
