Wesley tops relay
WESLEY College was the highest overall fundraiser for Relay for Life 2016. It raised $28,000 for the cause. The college’s speed team also recorded the highest lap count of any individual team with more than 1000 laps of the course, totalling more 400 kilometres. Since 2006, Wesley College has raised more than $550,000 for the Cancer Council through Relay for Life. College teams have run for several members of the Wesley student body and staff members fighting battles with cancer throughout the event’s history. This year’s Relay for Life was held late last month at the WA Athletics Stadium in Mt Claremont.
