Jonathon rises to challenge

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - STREET WATCH -

MORE than 20 schools competed in the annual Scitech Brainstorm Challenge Days in May but it was Wesley College’s Jonathon Parker who stood out among the crowd when he won the physics prize.

Competing students were put through a series of problem-solving challenges in science, technology, engineering and maths.

Jonathon was awarded the physics prize after nailing his challenge.

“It was wonderful to see all the students get really excited to challenge themselves in new situations, problem-solve through teamwork and come up with creative solutions,” Scitech brainstorm challenge day co-ordinator Tara Broadhurst said.

Scitech’s Brainstorm Challenge Day events run annually for gifted and talented primary and secondary students and PEAC groups across Western Australia.
