Axe-wield­ing thief sought

PO­LICE are seek­ing in­for­ma­tion about an armed rob­bery in Rivervale last month in which a man bran­dished a tom­a­hawk.

About 4.40pm on Sun­day May 15, the man en­tered a bot­tle shop on Great Eastern High­way and went behind the counter with the weapon at his side.

He de­manded a staff mem­ber open the till be­fore mak­ing off with some cash.

He is de­scribed as be­ing dark skinned, 25-30 years old, about 175cm tall with a medium build and a black scruffy beard.

He was wear­ing match­ing grey track­suit pants and hooded jumper with ‘EVER­LAST’ across the front of the jumper and down one leg of the pants with black ‘Nike’ sneak­ers.
