Students new dairy champions
STUDENTS from 10 primary schools from all over Perth gathered last week to compete for the coveted Picasso Cow 2016 title.
For the past three months, schools including Manning Primary have participated in Dairy Australia’s Picasso Cow Program.
The hands-on program aimed to help students learn about where food comes from, the health benefits of dairy foods and the importance of the dairy industry.
Challenges faced by dairy farmers were brought to life as the students painted life-sized fibreglass cows to represent the themes.
Moerlina School in Mt Claremont was declared the winner.
