VICTORIA Park Christian School students sang with a 50-piece orchestra for the annual Hymnfest fundraiser.

They joined three other Christian schools to create a 120-voice children’s choir and the audience of 800 raised $8500 for the Bible Society Australia’s Project South Africa.

Students from kindergarten to Year 12 gave a lively interpretation of the popular spiritual, ‘This Little Light of Mine’ and also joined the Perth Adventist Choir in moving renditions of contemporary worship songs , ‘Oceans’ and ‘Amazing Grace my Chains are Gone’.

“The children were excited that this was going to be their first official performance since the commencement of the choir in 2016,” Victoria Park Christian School Choir leader Rochelle Stojanovic said.
