Donor Mate at footy

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - NEWS -

DONOR Mate will host a family fun day at the Carlisle Cougars Football Club on August 6 to promote organ donation during Donatelife Week.

Colts, reserves and league games will wear the Donor Mate colours and family activities will include a bouncy castle, food vans, face painting, Instaprinter and a Snapchat competition.

The fun will start at 10.30am and continue until 5pm.

The Cougars will play the Ocean Ridge Eagles at Carlisle Reserve, corner of Orrong Road and Cohn Street.

Colts play at 10.40pm, reserves kick off at 12.30pm and league at 2.30pm.

Donor Mate finance director Troy Scudds said young men were less likely to be listed as organ donors, so it was a demographic the group hoped to target this year.

He said 1500 Australians were in need of donated organs.
