EAST Vic­to­ria Park res­i­dent Mary D’Souza is on a mis­sion to make a dif­fer­ence in at­ti­tudes to­wards health in Aus­tralia.

Ms D’Souza re­cently grad­u­ated from Notre Dame Univer­sity with a Bach­e­lor of Pre­ven­ta­tive Health and said ul­ti­mately she wanted to ed­u­cate young peo­ple about ac­tions they could take to­day to have bet­ter health out­comes for to­mor­row.

“I as­pire to make a dif­fer­ence in chang­ing at­ti­tudes to health in Aus­tralia,” she said.

“The practicum op­por­tu­ni­ties from my pre­ven­ta­tive health de­gree en­cour­aged me to work with young peo­ple so they can make more in­formed de­ci­sions on their life­style.”

Ms D’Souza hoped she could work in com­mu­nity grass­roots lev­els and start with teenagers and youth who were ex­posed to neg­a­tive in­flu­ences.
