EVER wanted to name a creature new to science?

ABC Radio science program Off Track and the WA Museum are running a competition to name a new species of nudibranch.

The colourful sea slug was found by WA Museum aquatic zoology senior research scientist Dr Nerida Wilson.

“It was 16 years ago on a trip to Dampier when I first saw it,” Dr Wilson said. “But it’s taken all these years to actually get the time to scientifically confirm that it is a new species, and now all we need is a name.” Visit mu name-this-creature.
