KALGOORLIE RED CROSS
KALGOORLIE Red Cross Soup Patrol would like to thank the Carlisle Hotel for its generous donation of $10,000.
The community funded Red Cross Soup Patrol distributes soup, bread, fruit and cold water to the disadvantaged in Kalgoorlie.
The hotel’s new owner Dave Doyle found out about the organisation on a recent trip to Kalgoorlie and answered the call for support from local businesses.
“If you provide good service, customers will come and that success can then be used to help others such as through the Red Cross,” he said.
“Dave on behalf of Red Cross Kalgoorlie, we can’t thank you enough and are overjoyed by your generosity,” Kalgoorlie Community Programs Manager Cath O’Connor said.
Dave handed over the $10,000 cheque to patrol volunteer Andrew Smith last month outside the Carlisle Hotel.
To make a donation, call Goldfields community program officer Shantel Van Maanen on 9026 1605 or 0408 912 154, email firstname.lastname@example.org or post cheques to 32 Lane Street, Kalgoorlie.
