Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - OPINION -

LIVING with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a daily challenge faced by one in 100 people – that is almost 26,000 Western Australians, including 4000 children within the State’s public education system.

Autism West is hosting a oneand-a-half-day symposium with a simple message at its core – it is time we rethink autism.

I encourage anyone with an interest in autism to attend the symposium on November 4-5 at Fremantle, but especially those whose lives may be touched by it – family members, teachers, GPs and allied health staff. ALISON DAVIS, chief executive, Autism West.
