Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - OPINION -

READERS responded to the City of Belmont’s decision to halt negotiations with the developer of a proposed 15-storey nursing home in Ascot Waters until it is reduced to a maximum height of five storeys.

‘ Well they won't keep tall buildings away from Belmont forever... it has some of the best views of the CBD in all of Perth and this will need to be capitalised on.

Shame the Belmont residents don't band together to get more trees on their streets or better quality infill.

Some of the stuff getting approved in CoB is nasty, with zero street appeal.

Readers responded to a Carlisle business’ worries about its future after the Town of Victoria Park gave away free mulch.

‘ Local businesses should be taken into consideration! The mulch could have been donated to notfor-profit organisations, schools etc.
