JOIN Connect Victoria Park Inc in acknowledging the contribution older people make in our families and community by submitting a piece of art, craft, photography or writing to the second annual Acknowledge Exhibition.

School-aged students are encouraged to take the time to develop a creative work to celebrate the important role that grandparents, friends, neighbours and other elderly people continue to play in our lives.

This year, curators also want to celebrate the creativity of older people themselves so those aged 60 years and over are invited to submit creative works for inclusion in the public exhibition too.

Acknowledge 2016 is a partnership between The Town of Victoria Park, Harold Hawthorne Community Centre and the Victoria Park Centre for the Arts.

All community members are invited to attend the Launch and Family Day on Sunday, November 6, from 10am to 2pm, at the Victoria Park Centre for the Arts, 12 Kent Street.

The exhibition will run from Monday, November 7, to Friday, November 18.
