City support for DAP changes
THE City of South Perth has welcomed changes to the Development Assessment Panels (DAP) process but the council wants to see more reforms.
Among the changes announced by the State Government is an option to opt-out of a DAP for developments that will not significantly impact local amenity.
DAP agendas will be published at least seven days before a meeting, instead of the current five days. The City of South Perth kick-started a campaign for an independent review of the DAP process after putting forward a motion during the WA Local Government AGM in August.
Mayor Sue Doherty said she supported the proposed changes.
““The City is committed to delivering the best planning outcomes for our community,” she said.
