A TO­TAL of 73 fi­nal­ists have been se­lected for the City of South Perth’s 2016 Emerg­ing Artist Award by a dis­tin­guished judg­ing panel.

The judges were artist and cu­ra­tor Jana Brad­dock, artist and gen­eral man­ager at PS Art Space Fre­man­tle Tom Muller and Curtin Uni­ver­sity Head of Art and De­sign, Pro­fes­sor David Hawkins.

Sculp­ture, video, pho­tog­ra­phy, acrylic and mixed me­dia all fea­tured in this year’s show­case, which is the most di­verse in the Award’s 14-year his­tory.

The win­ners of the Award will be an­nounced at the ex­hi­bi­tion launch and awards pre­sen­ta­tion night on Oc­to­ber 20 at the South Perth Com­mu­nity Hall.

The launch is in­vi­ta­tion only, with the ex­hi­bi­tion open to the pub­lic from Oc­to­ber 21-29.
