Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - STREET WATCH -

KENSINGTON Detectives are seeking information about an attempted robbery in Ascot on October 28. Around 6.30pm, a 32-year-old man driving a silver Toyota Camry had stopped at a red traffic signal at the intersection of Great Eastern and Tonkin highways. A light-skinned man approached the car and opened the driver’s door. He grabbed the victim and demanded use of the car before punching the victim in the mouth. The victim managed to close the car door and drive off, turning onto Great Eastern Highway. Police would like to speak to any motorists who were stopped at the intersection who may have seen the incident or a man walking or standing near the intersection.
