Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - LOCAL FOCUS -

FOR nearly 25 years, the East Victoria Park Family and Community Centre has been a popular local venue, hosting a variety of community activities. On Saturday, November 26, from 10am to 4pm, the centre will hold the Learning, Loving, Living Community Fayre.

With children’s activities, face painting, community cupcakes, white elephant and upcycled clothing as well as stalls selling hand-made products, the free event will give the community the opportunity to use the facilities including the playgrounds.

“The centre user groups provide a great range of activities with our focus being on programs which are multicultural and inclusive for children and adults of all ages and backgrounds,” current chairwoman Lisa Throssell said.

“What we have found is that the people in need in our community often don’t know the centre exists and so miss out on the opportunity to interact, belong and take advantage of the support we provide.”
