Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - SPORT -

HUNDREDS of swimmers are donning caps and goggles ready to do battle at the annual Schools Swimming Challenge on November 18.

The 20th edition of the competition, hosted by the Southside Penrhos Wesley Swimming Club, will be held at the Wesley College swimming pool from 6pm.

Students from years 4 to 6 from Wesley College, Penrhos College, South Perth Primary, Kensington Primary, Como Primary, Mt Pleasant Primary, St Columba’s Catholic Primary and St Pius X Catholic Primary schools will go head-to-head to gain points for their school team.

Last year’s girls and mixed teams winners Applecross Primary are not competing this year so the competition in those categories will be wide open.

Southside Penrhos Wesley Swimming Club swimmers will also be competing as ‘The Dolphins’ if they do not attend one of the competing schools or are not swimming for their school.
