Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - STREET WATCH -

KENSINGTON Detectives are seeking assistance from the public regarding the theft of a mobile phone in East Victoria Park on November 4. The victim, a 27-year-old man from Victoria Park, had arranged to meet a person at a shopping centre on Albany Highway to buy his mobile phone which he had for sale on an online advertising website. When he was at the location he received a phone call from the person who wanted to buy the phone to say he was in a vehicle in the carpark. The victim found the vehicle and two men were inside. The victim gave the phone to the potential buyers to look at and one of the men ran away with it. The victim tried to get the phone back but the men drove away in a blue 1990s model Toyota Corolla Seca. The first man is described as being tanned, 180cm tall, 20-25 years old with a solid build and a tattoo on his arm. He was wearing a red T-shirt, black pants, red sneakers and a baseball cap. The second man is described as being 20-25 years old with a slim build; he was wearing a sleeveless T-shirt. Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
