TWO driv­ers have had their ve­hi­cles im­pounded and li­cences sus­pended af­ter both be­ing stopped twice in a short time for drink-driv­ing. On November 5 at 9.30am, a man was driv­ing a Toy­ota mo­tor ve­hi­cle on Leach High­way in Can­ning­ton. Traf­fic En­force­ment Group of­fi­cers stopped the ve­hi­cle for a road side test. It will be al­leged the 33-year-old man pro­vided a breath test read­ing over four times the le­gal limit. It will be fur­ther al­leged the man was stopped driv­ing the next day at 12.29am on Craig Street in Burswood. The man pro­vided a breath test read­ing again four times over the le­gal limit. On November 5 at 10pm, a woman was driv­ing a Nis­san on Vic­to­ria Park Drive in Burswood. Po­lice of­fi­cers stopped the ve­hi­cle for a road side test. It will be al­leged the 29-year-old woman pro­vided a breath test read­ing over twice the le­gal limit. It will be fur­ther al­leged she was stopped the next morn­ing at 3.50am on Can­ning High­way in Vic­to­ria Park and pro­vided a breath test read­ing nearly three times over the le­gal limit. Both driv­ers were charged and will be at­tend­ing court at a later date.
