Nom­i­nate a top cit­i­zen

THE Town of Vic­to­ria Park is call­ing for nom­i­na­tions for the an­nual Aus­tralia Day Ci­ti­zen­ship Awards, which aim to give peo­ple the chance to for­mally recog­nise com­mu­nity mem­bers that are mak­ing sig­nif­i­cant con­tri­bu­tions.

Nom­i­na­tions opened on Novem­ber 14 and close at 5pm on De­cem­ber 23. The awards will be pre­sented at the Town’s Aus­tralia Day Ci­ti­zen­ship Cer­e­mony.

There are three cat­e­gories that ci­ti­zens can be nom­i­nated for: In­di­vid­ual Ci­ti­zen­ship Award, In­di­vid­ual Ci­ti­zen­ship Award for a per­son un­der 25 years of age, Ci­ti­zen­ship Award for a com­mu­nity group or event.

The win­ners will be de­cided by a panel con­sist­ing of Mayor Trevor Vaughan, chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer An­thony Vuleta and one mem­ber of the com­mu­nity.

Nom­i­na­tion forms are avail­able from the Town’s ad­min­is­tra­tion cen­tre and Li­brary.

Com­pleted forms can be re­turned by email to ad­min@vic­ or in per­son at the Town’s ad­min­is­tra­tion cen­tre, 99 Shep­per­ton Road, Vic­to­ria Park.
